What I am working on

  • An AA game β€” my main professional project. I work on a team, delivering one game system after another. The title is under NDA for now, so details will have to wait until release.
  • TagEventBus β€” an event bus for UE5 built on GameplayTags, with its own debugger. It’s in the finalization stage before its release on Fab.
  • StillCooking_Tools β€” a free, MIT-licensed set of small Unreal Engine utilities. Version 0.8.0 is out on GitHub, with full documentation on this site.
  • stillcooking.dev β€” this site. It is live now, and I keep adding notes from my day-to-day work in Unreal Engine.
  • Home automation (Loxone) β€” my home setup, which I maintain and keep expanding while using it.

What I am learning

  • Slate β€” the internals of UE5’s UI framework, partly to support the editor tools I’m building for my plugins.
  • Loxone β€” programming home automation with Loxone.

What I am exploring

  • Texture-based animation in UE β€” animated instanced meshes and a lightweight alternative to Animation Blueprints for controlling them. Just experiments for now.
