Table of contents

The technologies I use with my team and on my own projects. The apps and hardware I use are listed separately in Uses.

Languages

  • C++ โ€” the core of everything: game systems and UE5 plugins.
  • Blueprints โ€” the configuration and glue layer on top of C++; “C++ core + Blueprint config” is my default split.
  • Python โ€” tooling, automation, editor scripts.
  • C# โ€” tools and projects outside the engine.
  • TypeScript โ€” front-end development, including this site.

Engine

  • Unreal Engine 5
  • Unreal Engine 4 โ€” I only touch it occasionally these days, but for years it was my main engine.

Infrastructure

  • Perforce โ€” version control for the team’s project.
  • GitHub โ€” my own projects and plugins.
  • Hugo + Netlify โ€” this site: a static site generator plus hosting and forms.
  • Node + npm โ€” the site build and the tooling around it.
  • Pagefind โ€” the static search index, built after Hugo.
  • Windows 11 โ€” my main development OS.

Building automation

  • Loxone โ€” building automation in my own home.
